Valley Credit Union insures all member deposits through the NCUSIF (National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund) which is administered by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration), an agency of the federal government, and is the credit union equivalent of the FDIC. Additionally, extra coverage is provided on qualifying accounts through ASI (American Share Insurance), the nation’s largest private credit union deposit insurer.
Your deposits at Valley Credit Union are federally insured to at least $100,000, and privately insured to an additional $150,000—all at no cost to you. It’s possible to increase the insurance on your deposits with certain account types, such as IRAs, or by structuring your accounts in certain ways with beneficiaries and joint owners.
We are available to answer your questions regarding insurance coverage as well as review your accounts to help you maximize the insurance on your deposits. For assistance, simply come into one of our branches or call us at 800.995.0287 and ask to speak to an Insurance Specialist.
Sincerely,
VALLEY CREDIT UNION
